Description
Celexa (F P 10 MG beige oval pill) is an antidepressant that belongs to the drug class SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). Citalopram is the generic version of this drug. Celexa 10 mg is efficient for the treatment of depression and major depressive disorder. Celexa 10 mg tablet is also available to treat (off-label) anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, menopausal symptoms, irritable bowel syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, children with depression, and agitation associated with dementia.
In some conditions taking 10 mg of Celexa may increase the risk of side effects so tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, bipolar disorder, a family history of bipolar disorder, bleeding disorders, glaucoma, heart disease, a history of irregular heartbeat, low levels of magnesium and potassium in the blood, receiving electroconvulsive therapy, seizures, suicidal thoughts, a history of suicide attempt by family member, taking medications that treat or prevent blood clots, thyroid disease, an allergic reaction to citalopram, escitalopram, and other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives. Then your doctor will prescribe the dosages according to your requirements.
